The Divine Shelter
90.1 [MT=91:1] He who dwells in the help of the Most High shall lodge in the shelter of the God of heaven. 90.2 [MT=91:2] He will say to the Lord, "You are my supporter and my refuge, my God; I will hope in Him." 90.3 [MT=91:3] For He Himself shall rescue you from the snare of hunters and from a troubling word. 90.4 [MT=91:4] He will overshadow you with His back, and under His wings you shall hope; His truth shall encircle you like a shield.
Protection from Terror
90.5 [MT=91:5] You shall not be afraid of nighttime fear, nor of the arrow that flies by day, 90.6 [MT=91:6] nor of the thing that walks about in darkness, nor of mishap and the midday demon. 90.7 [MT=91:7] A thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. 90.8 [MT=91:8] Rather, you shall observe with your eyes and see the recompense of sinners.
The Ministry of Angels
90.9 [MT=91:9] For You, O Lord, are my hope; you have made the Most High your refuge. 90.10 [MT=91:10] Evils shall not come to you, and a scourge shall not draw near to your dwelling. 90.11 [MT=91:11] For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. 90.12 [MT=91:12] On their hands they shall bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. 90.13 [MT=91:13] You shall tread upon the asp and the basilisk, and you shall trample the lion and the dragon.
The Divine Promise
90.14 [MT=91:14] "Because he hoped in Me, I will rescue him; I will protect him, because he has known My name. 90.15 [MT=91:15] He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I am with him in affliction, and I will deliver him and glorify him. 90.16 [MT=91:16] With length of days I will satisfy him and show him My salvation."
