1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.
53:1

ἐν

53:1
A fool said in his heart,
“T”here is no God. They became corrupt and were nauseated in lawless acts; there is no one who is doing good. | 53:1
A fool said in his heart,
“There is no God.” They became corrupt and were nauseated in lawless acts; there is no one who is doing good. |
2 God looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any that understood, who sought God.

3 Every one of them is gone back; they are altogether become filthy; there is none who does good, no, not one.
53:3 All turned away; together they are useless; no one is doing good; there is not even one. | 53:3 All turned away; together they are useless; no one is doing good; there is not even one. |
4
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge?
Who eat up my people as they eat bread; they haven't called on God.
53:4
οἱ
τὴν
ἀνομίαν;

τὴν
ἀνομίαν;
53:4
Will all those who practice lawlessness never know? Those who eat my people like eating bread didn't call on God. | 53:4
Will all those who practice lawlessness never know? Those who eat my people like eating bread didn't call on God. |
5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was; for God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you; you have put them to shame, because God has despised them.
53:5

οὗ
οὐκ
ἦν
ὅτι
ὁ

53:5 They will be afraid with fear, where there was no fear, because God scattered bones of men-pleasers; they were ashamed, because God despised them. | 53:5 They will be afraid with fear, where there was no fear, because God scattered bones of men-pleasers; they were ashamed, because God despised them. |
6 Oh that the salvation of Israēl were come out of Zion! When God brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israēl shall be glad.

53:6
Who shall give out of Siōn the deliverance of Israēl? When the Lord returns the captivity of his people, Jacob will rejoice, and Israēl will be glad. | 53:6
