Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ὑπὲρ Μαελέθ·

1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.

53:1 Εἶπεν ἄφρων ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ,
οὐκ ἔστιν θεός. διεφθάρησαν καὶ ἐβδελύχθησαν ἐν ἀνομίαις, οὐκ ἔστιν ποιῶν ἀγαθόν. 		53:1 Εἶπεν ἄφρων ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ·
Οὐκ ἔστι Θεός.

2 God looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any that understood, who sought God.

4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge?
Who eat up my people as they eat bread; they haven't called on God.

53:4 Οὐχὶ γνώσονται πάντες οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι τὴν ἀνομίαν;

5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was; for God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you; you have put them to shame, because God has despised them.

53:5 ἐκεῖ φοβηθήσονται φόβον, οὗ οὐκ ἦν φόβος, ὅτι ὁ θεὸς διεσκόρπισεν ὀστᾶ ἀνθρωπαρέσκων·
κατῃσχύνθησαν, ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἐξουδένωσεν αὐτούς. 		53:5 ἐκεῖ ἐφοβήθησαν φόβον, οὗ οὐκ ἦν φόβος, ὅτι ὁ Θεὸς διεσπόρπισεν ὀστᾶ ἀνθρωπαρέσκων·

6 Oh that the salvation of Israēl were come out of Zion! When God brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israēl shall be glad.

53:6 τίς δώσει ἐκ Σιὼν τὸ σωτήριον τοῦ Ἰσραήλ;
ἐν τῷ ἐπιστρέψαι κύριον τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ἀγαλλιάσεται Ἰακὼβ καὶ εὐφρανθήσεται Ἰσραήλ. 		53:6 τίς δώσει ἐκ Σιὼν τὸ σωτήριον τοῦ Ἰσραήλ;
