The Enthronement of the Messiah
| 1 [MT=110:1] Εἶπεν ὁ κύριος τῷ κυρίῳ μου, κάθου ἐκ δεξιῶν μου, ἕως ἄν θῶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ὑποπόδιον τῶν ποδῶν σου. 2 [MT=110:2] ῥάβδον δυνάμεώς σου ἐξαποστελεῖ κύριος ἐκ Σιών, καὶ κατακυρίευε ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἐχθρῶν σου. | 109.1 [MT=110:1] The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet." 109.2 [MT=110:2] The Lord shall send forth the scepter of Your power out of Zion; and rule in the midst of Your enemies. |
| 3 [MT=110:3] μετὰ σοῦ ἡ ἀρχὴ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τῆς δυνάμεώς σου ἐν ταῖς λαμπρότησιν τῶν ἁγίων· ἐκ γαστρὸς πρὸ ἑωσφόρου ἐξεγέννησά σε. | 109.3 [MT=110:3] With You is the dominion in the day of Your power, amid the brightness of the saints; from the womb, before the morning star, I begot You. |
The Eternal Priesthood
| 4 [MT=110:4] ὤμοσεν κύριος καὶ οὐ μεταμεληθήσεται, σὺ εἶ ἱερεὺς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα κατὰ τὴν τάξιν Μελχισέδεκ. | 109.4 [MT=110:4] The Lord has sworn and will not relent: "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek." |
| 5 [MT=110:5] κύριος ἐκ δεξιῶν σου συνέθλασεν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ βασιλεῖς· 6 [MT=110:6] κρινεῖ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, πληρώσει πτώματα, συνθλάσει κεφαλὰς ἐπὶ γῆς πολλῶν. 7 [MT=110:7] ἐκ χειμάρρου ἐν ὁδῷ πίεται· διὰ τοῦτο ὑψώσει κεφαλήν. | 109.5 [MT=110:5] The Lord at Your right hand has crushed kings in the day of His wrath. 109.6 [MT=110:6] He shall judge among the nations; He will fill them with corpses; He will crush the heads of many over the earth. 109.7 [MT=110:7] He shall drink from the brook in the way; therefore He shall lift up His head. |
