10 ἰδόντες ἀστέρα ἐχάρησαν χαρὰν μεγάλην σφόδρα. 10 ἰδόντες ἀστέρα, ἐχάρησαν χαρὰν μεγάλην σφόδρα·
When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11  ἐλθόντες οἰκίαν εἶδον παιδίον Μαρίας μητρὸς , πεσόντες προσεκύνησαν ἀνοίξαντες θησαυροὺς προσήνεγκαν δῶρα, χρυσὸν λίβανον σμύρναν. 11  ἐλθόντες οἰκίαν, εὗρον παιδίον Μαρίας μητρὸς , πεσόντες προσεκύνησαν , ἀνοίξαντες θησαυροὺς προσήνεγκαν δῶρα, χρυσὸν λίβανον σμύρναν.
After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
13 Ἀναχωρησάντων ἰδοὺ ἄγγελος φαίνεται ὄναρ Ἰωσὴφ λέγων, Ἐγερθεὶς παράλαβε παιδίον φεῦγε Αἴγυπτον ἴσθι εἴπω · μέλλει Ἡρῴδης ζητεῖν παιδίον ἀπολέσαι αὐτό. 13 Ἀναχωρησάντων , ἰδού, ἄγγελος φαίνεται ὄναρ Ἰωσήφ, λέγων, Ἐγερθεὶς παράλαβε παιδίον , φεῦγε Αἴγυπτον, ἴσθι εἴπω Σοὶ· μέλλει Ἡρώδης ζητεῖν παιδίον, ἀπολέσαι αὐτό.
Now when they had gone, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him.” And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
16 Τότε Ἡρῴδης ἰδὼν ἐνεπαίχθη μάγων ἐθυμώθη λίαν, ἀποστείλας ἀνεῖλεν παῖδας Βηθλεὲμ πᾶσι ὁρίοις αὐτῆς διετοῦς κατωτέρω, χρόνον ὃν ἠκρίβωσεν μάγων. 16 Τότε Ἡρώδης, ἰδὼν ἐνεπαίχθη μάγων, ἐθυμώθη λίαν, ἀποστείλας ἀνεῖλε παῖδας Βηθλεὲμ ὁρίοις αὐτῆς, διετοῦς κατωτέρω, χρόνον ὃν ἠκρίβωσε μάγων.
Then when Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi. Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
